Marketing Manager – L&W Supply
L&W Supply, a division of ABC Supply, is a leading specialty distributor of drywall, ceiling tiles, steel framing, and other building materials used by commercial and residential contractors. L&W Supply is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to develop and lead strategic marketing initiatives that promote our business, products, growth, and brand.
The Marketing Manager works closely with the company's executive and leadership teams to build the brand, marketing strategy, and programs that support our branches while exemplifying our mission and connecting with the company's core values and customers.
This role is responsible for brand development, promotion, guidelines, and communication, as well as building relationships internally and externally to support the company and brand messaging. While this role is strategic in nature, it also ensures the necessary tools and collateral are developed to support branches and associates in the field.
The Marketing Manager coordinates market research and analysis to identify customer values and buying habits. They are also responsible for tracking and measuring the effectiveness and impact of marketing initiatives.
This is an in-office position, requiring full-time, onsite work at the National Support Center in Beloit, WI.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Brand Stewardship & Communication: Articulate and reinforce L&W Supply's brand message across all associate and customer touchpoints, ensuring a unified and impactful presence.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, operations, merchandising, real estate, and finance teams to align marketing initiatives with overarching business goals.
- Digital Asset Optimization: Leverage technology to enhance L&W Supply’s digital presence—including website, content, social media, and other digital platforms—to drive engagement and brand visibility.
- Sales Enablement & Demand Generation: Guide the development of content and campaigns that generate sales opportunities through collateral, events, sponsorships, showroom enhancements, and direct sales support.
- Event Strategy & Coordination: Lead the strategic planning of national associate meetings, industry trade shows, and customer events to ensure seamless and impactful experiences.
- Performance Measurement & ROI Analysis: Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing and communication programs, measuring ROI through sales analysis and cost assessment to optimize performance.
- Competitive Intelligence: Conduct competitor research to maintain awareness of market trends and ensure L&W Supply’s competitive positioning.
- Brand Development & Promotion: Maintain and promote a strong brand image that attracts customers and reinforces the company’s core values.
- Travel Requirement: This position requires frequent travel, estimated at 25% to 30%, for event planning and execution, branch support and visits, trade shows, and brand support (videos and photography).
Skills and Qualifications:
- Self-Management & Organization: Highly self-motivated with exceptional organizational skills, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and consistent follow-through.
- Strategic Marketing & Innovation: Demonstrates creativity and strategic thinking to develop and oversee brand strategies that attract customers and provide a competitive edge.
- Digital & Social Media Proficiency: Strong understanding of various social media platforms and their strategic application in business marketing.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to integrate diverse ideas into strategic initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field, with several years of relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience in core marketing functions, sales strategies, effective communication, and budget management.
